Traffic and People (3/12/2009,11:06)

I decided to include this clip in my blog because it simply represents all the places I walked during my drift. Busy and loud are some of the words I would use to describe the "place" I walked. Listen here.

Air Exchange (3/13/2009, 14:13PM)

As I was sitting on one of the benches outside the Bradley Center, I started to hear something that was opening and closing. It took me five minutes to figure out where that sound was coming from. There was a vent across the street from where I was, in the U.S. Cellular Arena. Listen here.

Ready for take-off (3/13/2009, 15:24)

When I saw the Amtrak station right away I thought that I would get some really good sounds. I was waiting for a train/Amtrak for 45 minutes and there was one Amtrak just sitting there with the engine off. So i waited and waited and finally the Amtrak engine was roaring and I could hear the exhaust, as it was preparing for take-off...For this sound I placed my mics over the bridge and they were just hanging. Flying in Between the Crack (3/13/2009, 16:20)

As I was walking along 6th Street, I really wanted to get water sounds from the bridge. Instead, I heard the sounds of the cars going over the bridge that splits open when boats are coming through. I really like the sound of when a car enters an opening bridge and the transition is very interesting because it happens so fast and then the sound disappears or more cars go through the bridge again. I find that appealing. I chose this title because as I was recording, there were birds flying over the bridge (in between the crack of the bridge) and the sounds of the birds came when there was no traffic present, in the middle of cars going over the bridge and cars going over the bridge, which the birds were crossing the bridge also but airborne. I held the mics with my arms wide open and it was intersting to see how many people would look at me. Listen here.

Da Trinity (3/14/2009,10:47)

As I was standing by the Harley Davidson Museum, I noticed that there was a generator-like sound but I was not sure. I was trying to find the source of the sound and was not successful in locating it. There were birds and traffic sounds that blended in with the generator-like sound and it worked really well. Listen here.

Drift Strategy-Madrid Metro Map

As I was looking for a map of Milwaukee and trying to come up with a drift strategy in my basement, I came across a map of the Madrid Metro map. I studied abroad in Madrid and my method of transportation was the metro. Since I enjoyed the metro system so much, I decided that I will be following one of the routes on the Metro map in my drift walk. Route #10 route is the one I have chosen, which is in dark blue (Link of map above). The reason I chose # 10 is because I would ride that route to school,I was robbed in the route, and simply have great memories being riding that path. My drift walk will begin at the Bradley Center (1001 N 4th St, Milwaukee, WI‎). and will go along 4th street, all the way to Michigan street, then go to 6th street.
